Hello. I'm Ann. Since you are considering allowing me to treat you with real needles rather than virtual ones, I thought you might want to know a little bit about me and about my credentials.  I hold a Master’s degree from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute (affiliated with John’s Hopkins University and one of the oldest schools of acupuncture in the United States).  I am board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).  In addition, I serve as the legislative liaison for the Acupuncture Society of Virginia.

As well as practicing acupuncture, I am a registered nurse specializing in emergency medicine. This background affords me an unusual fluency in the medicine of both East and West.

I hold a black belt in the Japanese martial art of Aikido and teach and serve on the board of Aikido in the Fan dojo.
